pTRACK assists the Mountain Rescue Service in the search for a lost woman with a child

Towards the end of 2022, between the holidays, an adult woman (40 years old) and her child (3 years old) went missing in the Krkonoše Mountains, and more than 150 police officers and rescue workers from the mountain service have been trying to find the two missing persons in the vast area for the third day. Colleagues from the Polish Mountain Rescue Service, including their dog handler, have also come to the rescue.

Weather conditions have so far allowed rescuers to use a police helicopter with thermal imaging optics, including drones. The police have also provided colleagues from the Mountain Rescue Service with our innovative pTRACK system for tracing people or vehicles in inaccessible terrain. This system actively contributes to the efficiency and accuracy of searches and enables commanders to coordinate forces and resources in the field. The Police of the Czech Republic has been using this system for more than 10 years and therefore has a wealth of experience with it, which can now greatly facilitate the work of colleagues from the Mountain Rescue Service. In the report of the news channel CT24, which was broadcasted on 02.01.2023 at 12:10, it is possible to see our pTRACK system in active deployment.
